GRIDASIA Celebrates a Decade of Passion and Purpose

GRIDASIA recently celebrated a major milestone—its 10th anniversary. What began as a dream shared by four young architects has grown into a respected architectural firm known for its commitment to excellence, creativity, and purpose-driven design.

The celebration was simple yet deeply meaningful, attended by both past and present members of the GRIDASIA family. The atmosphere reflected the firm’s journey—humble, heartfelt, and grounded in passion.

Ar. Shamcey Supsup-Lee, one of the co-founders, opened the firm with a message of gratitude. She thanked everyone who has been part of GRIDASIA’s story, from its earliest days to its continued growth. She spoke candidly about the company’s beginnings, including the many challenges they faced. There were times when they had no clients, when they considered closing the firm, and when the team went without salaries. But through those difficulties, it was their unwavering love for architecture that kept them going.

“This company starts with passion,” Ar. Shamcey says. “We didn’t begin with profit in mind—we just wanted to do great architecture and serve our clients well. GRIDASIA is, and always will be, a passion project.”

The evening also featured a retrospective presentation, highlighting major projects and milestones from the past decade. Two of the firm’s core pioneers delivered messages that reflected on the growth, resilience, and enduring values that continue to define GRIDASIA.

The program ended on a spiritual note—with a prayer full of thanksgiving—and a simple dinner shared among colleagues and friends. It was a night that honored not just a timeline, but the people, passion, and purpose behind every structure the firm has brought to life.

As GRIDASIA moves forward into its second decade, it continues to stand as a testament to what vision, perseverance, and heart can build.
